Baguio City is a melting pot of different cultures from neighboring communities scattered around the city. As a result, it produces a diverse mixture of arts and beliefs molded from their respective origins and integrated with inspirations and influences from the different cultures in the city producing a unique output and a sub-culture of its own, reflected in the artworks of skillful artists, in the observance/practice of different beliefs, and in the daily lives of the people in the community as a whole.

As a “cultural cauldron”, problems brought about by these inter-cultural assimilations are also experienced by the city that has to be addressed with the help of the community. Different institutions in and around the city, and sometimes even beyond the city, are available to help the community address such problems.
